Raising VC in China: distaste for raising U.S. money because of an insistence on predictable and unnatural growth metrics

I found this bit in Sarah Lacy’s post interesting.  I understand the reaction and if Chinese entrepreneurs have access to capital that is less demanding, that’s where they should go.

I’m not sure how much China has changed in the past year but things move so fast that nobody has a strategy.  I wonder how much the global downturn has impacted that pace and whether the country can maintain the energy and excitement of the past several years.
