Verizon to begin preloading Amazon ecosystem on Android devices, Droid DNA is first

Verizon is preloading Amazon storefront apps on their smartphones:

Beginning with the newly announced HTC Droid DNA, Verizon will be partnering with Amazon to offer the digital retailer’s content ecosystem on upcoming Android devices. In addition, Amazon will serve up Verizon subscribers with a digital storefront for the purchase of physical goods. via Verizon to begin preloading Amazon ecosystem on Android devices, Droid DNA is first.

The question is whether Amazon is compensating Verizon on a pay per install type deal or instead an affiliate deal where Verizon gets commissions on transactions that come from Verizon.  I suspect it’s a pay per install type deal at this point only because it’s easier.
