They’re talking their book but I’m linking here since it’s the first time I’ve seen data and an argument of this type for mobile apps:

It stands to reason that the faster your app, the easier it is to use, and convert more revenue. We found that the top 3 apps by user engagement averaged 14 seconds in overall performance. While the bottom 3 apps by engagement averaged 21 seconds.
